Reiki Healing

Healing can mean many things to different people all around the world.

What is Reiki Healing?

Reiki is a powerful 19th century mode of healing. Reiki is non-religious.

Reiki healing is where science meets spiritual. Take a glass of water, it’s made up of matter and the atoms are moving slowly, when frozen the atoms are moving slower again.  As with boiling water we can see the rapid movement as the atoms vibrate.  When we walk into a room full of people you can feel the energy or vibration whether it be positive or negative. Or when you give a hug to a friend or loved one you can feel the good energy.

Reiki is the flow of good energy given by a Universal Life force. Almost every culture and faith has a name for this flow. Ch’i in China, Prana in India, Ruach in Hebrew, Barraka in islamic countires, Mana in Polynesia, Orenda by Native American/ Iroquois people, and Ki in Japan. It is this word from Japan that Reiki is named. Rei can be defined as the Higher Intelligence, and for you that may be God, or  Buddha, and Ki is the flow of energy .

Such outpouring of “the flow” when ego-less promotes inner healing just like the hug we spoke of above.

This non-invasive, completely benign healing technique is becoming more and more popular. As western medicine continues to explore alternative methods of healing, Reiki is destined to play an important role as an accepted and valued healing practice.  The most important thing concerning the development of your Reiki healing sessions is the quality and strength of your intention. The mind is like a magnet. The quality and strength of your thoughts will determine the quality and strength of what you attract into your life. Therefore it is important for you to develop and maintain a positive mental attitude about your Reiki healing sessions.

No one can inject amazingness into a vessel, you have to be open to the amazingness.

We become, if you will the hollow reed through which Reiki flows.

Massage

A good example of tension is to clench your hand into a fist.  Notice what physical changes take place to your hand in the first few seconds.  Parts of your hand change color, you may experience fatigue and after the next 30 seconds when you open your hand it may be slow to respond.   This is what impact stress has on your overall mind, body and soul.  Your muscles are incredible structures that, during those times of life when you are compromised and stressed compensate by functioning regardless, just to get you through your day, weeks, months or years. Put in simple terms when your muscles tense (like the example above) they are denied optimal blood flow thus restricted from nutrients.  They fatigue as the stress compounds this is where massage plays a vital role in reclaiming your body’s peace.

Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, for the purpose of normalizing body tissues and consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, or causing movement of or to the body. While massage therapy is applied primarily with the hands, sometimes the forearms or elbows are used. These techniques affect the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. The basic philosophy of massage therapy embraces the concept that with stimulated blood flow, this in turn aids the ability of the body to heal itself, and the outcome is to increase health and well-being.
